American actor Jon Cryer, best known for playing "Duckie" Dale in the John Hughes-written movie "Pretty in Pink" and Alan Harper on the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men", is rumored to have had plastic surgery by a hair transplant.
Cryer, now 49, has recently admitted that his days of having luscious locks are over, stating he only has "four or five hairs" on his head and the rest is an "elaborate illusion".
When Cryer made an appearance at "Conan" on November 2013, the chat show host referred to his "Pretty in Pink" days, claiming: "You had crazy hair in that movie".
The actor replied: "This is an elaborate illusion. This is the work of several talented professionals making the most of like four hairs".
"It's amazing, actually, what they can do. I'm not wearing a piece or anything like that, but it's a long involved process that starts with stuff like shoe polish, basically, that they coat your scalp at the top," Cryer went on, adding: "They basically just paint - they get a roller type thing - and just whoosh along the top."
Referring to John Travolta's widow's peak, the "Two and A Half Man" star was quoted as saying: "You have to decide if you're going to go full Travolta and get the full front in, noting: "And then they literally sprinkle powder in from a salt shaker. So this is, like I said, four or five hairs in total."
Conan then asked Cryer what happens when it rains.
"You're out of luck," Cryer jokingly said, explaining: "It flattens out and you can get the nice little rivulets going down. But thankfully, your eyebrows will channel it down the side."
It is rumored that the star before starring in "Two And A Half Men", he had a hair transplant.
