Eddie Murphy's appearance on "SNL 40th Anniversary Celebration" last weekend had many viewers disturbed that he did not bring back a classic character or tell jokes.
The reason is because the writers demanded to play Bill Cosby.
Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Norm MacDonald took to social media to explain in detail what took place behind the scenes at SNL 40.
"Among many other things, this show was to be the return of Eddie Murphy," MacDonald, 51, tweeted, adding: "He knew the laughs would bring the house down. Eddie Murphy knows what will work on SNL better than any one. Eddie decides the laughs are not worth it. He will not kick a man when he is down."

Eddie Murphy is the coolest, a rockstar even in a room with actual rockstars.
